British invasion brought the Beatles, the Stones, The Who, Dave Clark Five, Animals and more. But then the psychedelic movement gave way to the counter culture hippie movement against the backdrop of the US involvement in the Vietnam War. The music changed, the style changed, the world changed...and the Beat Generation was no more.
