Game: Marlins Vs. Mets
Venue: Shea Stadium
Date: September 28, 2008
The final fireworks show done to conclude the post-game ceremony. Some confetti came down from the rafters soon afterward, as a way of thanking all the fans that've been here throughout the years.
I have to admit, I really felt the emotion of the moment here, that this really was the final game to ever be played here. That's when the reality of that fact really hit me, and I tell you, it hit me kind of hard.
I have to agree with you about what you said in the describtion. I went the day before when Santana pitched, and I have been a Met fan all my life and loved Shea Stadium, so when the last out was recorded, like you reality hit me and I became extremely emotional and could not hold it at all, and the camera shook so much when I Chavez' catch to end it.
