Artist Michael Markowsky stands in the back of a moving pick-up truck and painting. Executed on June 9th, 2010, Michael followed the original path of the first east-west path that connected the City of Surrey to the interior of British Columbia. Eventually this footpath became known as the 'Cariboo-Yale Wagon Road,' then the 'Grand Truck Road' and in the 1940's the 'Trans-Canada Highway.' When a new highway was built in the 60's it became the Fraser Highway. The paintings Michael created are currently on display the Surrey Art Gallery until September 12th, 2010. http://www.michaelmarkowsky.com
