We won't see high-end graphics on ipods using the Unreal Engine 3, they're simply using very low resolution textures and lower polygon counts than on the PC and consoles and not using many or any post-processing effects (god rays, depth of field, motion blur, etc.).

It's like porting Quake 3 over to the Unreal Engine 3 - it'll still look the same so there's nothing impressive there. They can basically have quake 3 level graphics with some normal mapping thrown in at low resolutions.
