Inking in Saigon

So I got my 3rd ink after 3 years.:D Out of the blue, I just asked my friend to take me to the tattoo shop that her friend suggested last time we met. Wasn't really going to get one but I was a little off that day and I wanted to feel a different kind of pain than the one I was having that day. So, here's a video that she took.

The first shop that we went to was more on the tribal design thingy but the artist there helped me choose this design. What I initially wanted was a feather design that will run through my lower back but the he didn't agree to it. So, I opted for hearts but wasn't too nice then I thought of a butterfly. But he said, just a butterfly design is boring. So, he searched and found this. Then off we went to another shop, because the artist there is good with colors and stuff.

And so there we were. He's hands were really light because I only complain of pain thrice. The rest I was just singing. Maybe, I was just numb that day. But he was really good. Reminded me of my little cousin. They looked the same.:D He finished it at 40 minutes and was charged for 1,200,000vnd which is cheaper compared back home. There are a lot of tattoo shops in Saigon. You just have to ask your friend/friends to take you there because most Vietnamese knows a shop or two.:)
