IK86 Reviews - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (XBox 360)

Here, I dish the dirt on the only part of the Expanded Star Wars Universe that I'll accept, besides the 2003 Clone Wars micro-series.

Since I rented the game, all of the footage in this review is from the first few stages.

The gameplay was the determining factor in my final score. At the end of the day this game is pure button mashing for the most part, and it can get very boring very quickly. The only thing to make it even remotely better than the horrid Revenge Of The Sith tie-in game is that...

A) It explores the era between Eps 3 and 4

B) You get to control Darth Vader's apprentice and have fun with Dark force powers.

Really? Well, it sounded like someone else to me, and besides, Bail's a pretty forgetable character. I mean, aside from adopting Leia and helping Yoda escape the Jedi Temple, what did he do? lol.

The gameplay does have a tendency to become repetitive and dull though the storyline was fantastic.

In regards to this game, I have to say that I was sadly disappointed. Despite graceful graphics and intriguing story which does score points for yours truly, the game just felt lacklustre and was no where near the level of hype reached which is usually the case anyway. The combat was shallow in comparison to similar titles such as God of War and DMC, and was no where near as fun as the system introduced back in Jedi Outcast. Overall I hope the new DLC will bring this back from the Dark Side.

i would say your not a great star wars fan or perhaps you found it difficult (from the vid show not great skill)

anyway this is a really fun game every aspect is awsome my only problem is its length. you can still replay. i did play the game bout 3 times through
