Crossover -- Check Yes Juliet [Tiana] --- Tiana and Jim

~ BACKGROUND STORY ~

Jim and Tiana were childhood friends, and grew up very close after both their fathers died. Jims mother owned an inn, and he knew Tiana dreamed of having her own restaurant, but her family didnt have the money to make that dream come true. His mom gave her a job waitressing, and Jim would help out a lot just to see her. Tiana became someone he fell in love with, but she never seemed to feel the same.

One day, a voodoo man comes along and hes been hired to get Jim out of the way, so a rich prince can marry Tiana. Jim acts quickly and gets away, but he sees his chances with Tiana going up in smoke. In order to stay safe, he is a cabin boy on a ship for a short while, but tries to remain hopeful when he returns Tiana won't have forgotten him.

While Jim is busy trying to shake off the Shadow Man, Prince Naveen comes along and is slowly trying to gain Tianas affection. When she turns him down, he gets the Shadow Man to try and bribe her, saying hell build her restaurant if shell marry him. Tiana wants her restaurant more than anything, and Jim cares too much for her to get in the way of her dream. He ends up getting captured by the shadow Man and turned into a frog. When Tiana hears what happened, she tries to help her best friend she gets turned into a frog also.

In the end, when the Shadow Man returns to offer her a trade of her frog-dom in return for marrying Prince Naveen, Tiana breaks the Shadow Mans talisman. This frees her and Jim, but she realizes she fell for Naveen. Jim is her best friend, but she doesnt love him back, so he does whats best and lets her go. She marries Naveen, and Jim lets her trading his dream with her for her happiness.

The song is from Jims point of view, saying how he wishes he could tell her to give everything else up, dont sell her heart (because Naveen tried to buy her love with the restaurant), and say they arent meant to be, and he just wants her to be with him. But in the end, they are just friends. Jim looks at the star, and remembers how Tiana always used to wish on them, and wishes he had tried it himself, instead of losing the girl. The clip where they are together as frogs at the end, Jim remembers telling Tiana she should go for it and marry Naveen, and remembers the girl that lost while never having.

oh wow this wasone of the most brillant crossovers ever, loved the pairing of Jim and Tiana and both movies are awesome and the song was just perfect for the story and from Jim's view really loved it amazing editing
