sadly we still here the term "Indian" to be American indigenous native...it is time to say it how it is.... just as there are different nations across the globe so there are many nations within the Americas....stop stop calling Lakotas, Hopis, etc "indians"........it is sad even they refer to themselves so....rise up and embrace your sovereign status !!!

The original song here was written by Bruce Cockburn and sung by him....from the album "Nothing but a burning light". I think he says things that need to be said...and I believe we whites have much to be ashamed of....but the First Peoples have not given in nor will they ever....they are a much too strong and courageous people...their wisdom is unending and I thank Bruce for giving us this song....

when whites gave indians access to firearms, they disturbed what would have been evolution of a race in such a way as a time traveler would have altered history by making changes as he traveled in the past. i firmly believe that it was god's plan to allow whites to come to america and establish the greatest outpost of freedom and human good that has ever existed. the indians merely stood in their way, many times murdering entire families including the women and children. savages.

You hold very racist views. Just because one race of people pocess better weapons does not excuse the genocide practiced by the european invaders of North and South America. Your ideas of Manifest Destiny fly in the face of what Jesus stood for during his life.
