  • I was there on the 29th of November also, there was a guy there that put a conti attack on the bike for me in the pit closest to the entrance to the pit lane, was your bike in that bay

  • No we were in the old stables closet to the grass. That was probably Andrew Lawrence who did your tyre, top guy. We don't run a speedo to distracting and they not accurate, so was just an educated guess. Derived froma gearing chart, may see you at another day, our SV was the one smashed on Dunlop at the end of the day. All rebuilt and running again

  • I think I recall seeing an SV smashed up sitting on a trailer in pit lane, there werent 2 SV's smashed that day were there, a copper one? maybe it the orange just looked copper

  • @PhrozenPhlanges Timed at 204 over the flying 1/4 mile, certified equipment. 210 not fast for a 1000 you sure on top speed?

  • @kiwijdr I didn't say 210 was it's top speed, what I said was I got 210 down a particular straight at the Manfield track in Fielding, the bikes top speed was apparently 275, though I only had it to 255, and for a sports tourer v-twin engine yeah, 275 is pretty quick as you should know, inline four 1000's eg GSXR-1000 are whole different kettle of fish, made to be 30-40kg lighter, have 70 to 90 more horsepower and can do anywhere up to 350kph I think?

  • @PhrozenPhlanges I don't know why Suzuki didn't cevelop the 1000 more and put it in SBK, the sv motor is indestructable.

  • nah myne was the only one smashed up

  • 200 is pretty quick for a 650, but I guess your bikes engine is modified and youd have more experience at laying itdown around those corners, I got 210 on my SV1000

  • Hi Im the rider of the bike.

Bike is a k1 SV650 completly standered bar a Scorpion muffler and a Ohlins rear shock and 1 inch peg risers. now I am running 2 inch riser plates.

Top speed was about 190-200 ish down back straight I guess?

  • K1 SV650, not sure on top speed sorry, but would be flat out.
