This is from the 1st Fantastic Four (1994) movie which was never officially released and has been denied existence. I thought this movie ruled, it's better than the stupid MTV-ized, overbudgeted/overhyped trendy crapfest that's market researched for mass consumption by people that don't even read comics. This one is campy/comical, the way Fantastic Four is SUPPOSE to be.

I could only stand to watch 45 minutes of this monstrosity. They made Dr. Doom look like a homo, plus you couldn't understand anything that he said cause of the awful silver painted hockey mask, Ben looked like a big warty orange gorilla, susan apparently can evaporate, reed is the love-child of stretch armstrong and silly putty and johnny is scared to death of his own powers.
OK: Here's the story. Someone bought the rights to produce a FF movie in the 80's. But, nothing was happening. Then, the Batman movie with Michael Keaton came out and made loads of cash. Suddenly, comic book properties became popular to transform into movies. But, the rights to keep the FF movie were clear: THERE HAD TO BE A MOVIE IN PRODUCTION BY DEC 31 1989, OR YOU LOSE THE RIGHTS TO THE FF MOVIE. So, They made this piece of crap just to retain the movie rights, and negotiate a better deal.
Yeah, I heard about that. The deadline was Christmas 1992, but they had been in pre-producton (or planning pre production) since '86 when the company bought the rights.
In spite of the low-budget and cheap effects, it's pretty faithful to the comics.....
