I personally wanted to see Sonic fight this guy here, (I know the final battle of SA2 includes Sonic and Shadow but I mean this battle)

I don't know. Heroes was pretty good. Sonic '06 was terrible, but did ruin sonic for me. IMO Sonic died when they came up with the formula for Unleashed/Colors/Generations. Because in 3D, Sonic boosts through narrow paths at blinding speed, and you can't go backwards. Also, there's little to no platforming at all in the 3D segments, just the 2D ones.
I miss Adventure's and Adventure 2's 360-degree freedom of movement, and more focus on jumping in Sonic's action stages.

@kadosho02 don't even. I totally agree, but sonic died with the adventure games.. and shadow died too. the adventure series is basically separate from all this new crap. :) after all, the ending resolved everything.

Sonic Adventure 2 was an excellent addition to the series. Mixing it up, being able to play either team, and taking on all sorts of challenges. Never could forget this boss fight, and never will.
Glad to celebrate 20 years of the blue hedgehogs adventures.
