@dtw1958 Scoey Mitchell is still alive and is 81. Richard Dawson retired from show business in 1995. They wanted him to make a quick appearance on Family Feud in 1999, but he rejected the offer.

Patti ALWAYS did that take.
She's nice, but I sometimes got annoyed because she seemed to deliberatly give weird/stupid/goofy answers, even when the game was close and hers was the make or break it answer. I felt bad for contestants who lost because she felt a laugh for herself was more im portant than a match for the contestant.

In a way Your Right, the show would recorded Black after Gene would say "This is who we have on next week."
Then via Tape-to-Tape they would insert the recording clip up to the point Gene says Good bye
