Cut cinematic from the PC version of Wing Commander 3. Why this was cut is beyond me to explain, but it does exist on other versions of WC3.

  • It's so sad, Hobbes was my favourite. :((( Kilrathis look so good and they are kitties. I love kitties.

  • Poor Hobbes. This scene would have made his defection a lot easier to swallow. :(

  • I always had the feeling that they docked this scene because around the exact same time, there was a Babylon 5 episode that featured the exact same principle as that "identity overlay" thing.

  • Honestly, I like the idea that he did not agree with Confed Planet Killing methods...

  • I remember this dialog from the 3DO version

  • The novelization had a whole sub-plot about the personality overlays and figuring who the spy was when the activation signal embedded in Thrakhath's "Gnashing of Teeth" transmission was discovered.

  • @Drowfan purrrrrrrrrrrr.

  • I was actually relieved about Hobbes "switching" sides. I mean ... seriously ... what kind of shitter betrays his own people and helps destroying his homeworld?!

  • @evpstud It is also on the PSX version.

  • I always thought his motive for defecting was convincing. Who wouldnt want to stop genocide of their own race?

  • oh i was right O.o lol nice

  • i think hobbes did not switch sides on free will. he was a kind of sleeper and got activated when trakat (or what his name is) said "heart of the tiger" on the bridge. that worked like some kind of codeword. you can see the change in hobbes expression and how he seems to be confused shortly after
