I agree CGI looks so much more realistic and jurassic park was a landmark CGI movie but without people like Willis O'Brien (King Kong, Black Scorpion) and Ray Harryhausen (Clash of the Titans, Jason & the Argonauts) venturing into the world of stop motion and perfecting it in the 1930's until 1980's we wouldn't have the amazing FX we have today. people who prefer these old movies still enjoy CGI movies of today, they also appreciate the work these men did back in the good old days.

The stop-motion dinos don't show up until the last third of the picture. The first hour should be called "Rock Climbing 101"!

A pity that the movie does not feature any carnivorous dinosaurs.

@CrispinRobles The rumor that Romero was gay has been around for a long time, but I don't think any concrete proof exists to back it. Anyway, what does it matter now that he is no longer living? He was a talented actor and in real life a well-mannered gentleman. How he conducted his private life was his business. May he rest in peace.

why is it green?

@zombieswillconquer I don't think CGI looks very realistic at all. With few exceptions, it mostly looks like video games.

If only Harryhausen or Pete Peterson could have done this film.
Even so I like it better than any of the CGI I have seen. CGI is so lifeless
and same-looking all the time. Thousands of people have done CGI effects but only a handful of artists have ever even attempted stop-motion for feature films no matter how jerky it may have been.

Cryptozoology novel see video book trailer
ATleast proper machine-toled ball-and-socket armatures have been used; this effects work has been slated by most reference sources; however, it's good enough to add to my compilation DVDS I am assembling on obscure dimensional animation [it's obviously been inspired by O'BRIEN'S/DELGADO'S 'LOST WORLD' of 1925.]
