Mikhail Gorbachev

Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachyov, Russian pronunciation: [mʲɪxɐˈil sʲɪrˈgʲeɪvʲɪʨ gərbɐˈʨof]; born March 2, 1931 in Privolnoye, Stavropol Krai), is a Russian politician. He was the last General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and the last head of state of the USSR, serving from 1985 until its collapse in 1991.

Just an easy and historical comment. To speak about if Gorbachev was a traitor or WTF, take look of Comunist Block crisis since 70's, the Afghani war in which USSR lost (incluiding Red Army's prestige & credibility) and obviously the weapon race that Reagan promoted and USSR was unable to follow. Gorbachev simply thougth if Comunism wanted to survive, its politics only must be based in apperture, to get a more competitive regime and why not more comfortable for people. He missed and USSR felt.
