I've been looking through old videos of Dad, and also some audio tapes that he made many years ago. This is a bit of history from one of the audio tapes recoded by my sister Jackie in 1992, of Dad talking about post war Japan. I added still photos for visuals.

  • Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I live in Japan now. My father who has passed away now, was here during the Korean War (as well as Korea). He told us kids many stories of those times. I only wish I could have recorded as you have some of those conversations.

  • As a student of Japanese history, I am particularly grateful for the efforts to upload educational material like this. Kudos to Gingeronymous. And God bless your father and the US who helped us to get back on our feet in times of great hardship and devastation.

  • Yes, I had to do a lot of looking for the right photos. Thanks, Moosie! :)

  • Thank you, Shawn! :)

  • Thanks, Vern... I appreciate that, especially from a professional film maker like yourself! :)

  • Thank you, too! Jackie made several audio tapes of Dad, and I'll be going through them soon. I'm glad you stopped by! :)

  • Thank you, Zach! It's nice to see you again. :)
