Episode 40: '04 Smoking Loon Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine had a great label, and promised great things. But is it marketing hype or reality? With a smell kinda like a cigar, Grapedonk was intrigued.

Then the aftertaste hit. "Wahhhh!" Grapedonk cried. "That's doing something really, really strange . . . it's like . . . wet chicken." On the wrap-up, he confirmed it: "Light pepper, grip . . . and wet chicken." This wine didn't bother our other tasters nearly so much, earning it a 3 rating.
