Sorry for the crappy video from my webcam!
This is a PC game about a fictitious Apollo 18 (Apollo 17 was the last) Moon landing mission. It was released in 1999 by AIM software. It could be played on an old Pentium 60Mhz dinosaur computer. It is an old game but still pretty cool to play but very difficult to finish. No pause button or saves in this one. It has lots of possible error scenarios and endings. It comes with a 200 page manual!!
Players will be tested on proper commands and sequence, in hopes that they will move on to the actual Apollo 18 launch. Once on the Saturn V capsule, the player will spend most of their time staring at the control panels, putting what they've learned to the test. The simulation is broken up by short arcade sequences, but for the most part is occupied by looking at readouts and buttons.
A heavy emphasis is put on correct procedure, as the game shoots for accuracy over flash. Commands must be precisely entered, in sequence. Mission Control will help the player with staying on track, but players will experience bouts of "radio interference" that will require a good memory. Enjoy!

  • I am playing the game on an old Pentium II computer with Win 95 and dos. Certain video cards do not support the video unfortunately. The Motion Pixels program had a update which I found and installed. It made it run more smoothly.

  • I love this old game, but could never get much past the launch. And the videos NEVER worked for me (like the one after S2 jett). What did you do to get it to run smoothly? How did you overcome the problems with the buggy Motion Pixels video player? Are you running this on XP/Vista/ or WIN7? Thanks! I've never seen anything after about 1:30 in this video.
