  • What a great video, it shows the engine working at various grades. Don't know how safe it is for those passngers with their legs dangling outside the coaches.

  • @brutishector See previous reply to mostlybytrain.

  • Great Video; But very concerned about those passengers hanging their limbs out of the caridges. I'd hope to see the railway sued if there was an acident!

  • Passengers sitting on the sides of the excursion cars has been a feature of the Puffing Billy Railway for the past 75 years and with literally millions of passengers carried there has never been a problem. The railway is reluctant to curtail the enjoyment of the tens of thousands who travel every year but is aware of the very small risk involved. There are also no lineside obstacles that they can touch.

  • UK H&S need to get a life.....

  • Firstly an apology: I should have said I'd HATE to see the railway sued. As a regular European railway traveller I see and enjoy many railway pratices that would give the UK H&S people kittens! I hope one day to visit Oz and the Puffing Billy.

  • Excellent - with 18 cars! - brings back great memories of my trips on the PB - many thanks

  • Absolutely superb video and especially the audio quality.

Rare for a Garratt to have such a pronounced exhaust.

I must visit and hear this for myself.
