Second part: Baby can you hear me now? The chains are locked and tied across the door, Baby, sing with me somehow. Blue, blue windows behind the stars, Yellow moon on the rise, Big birds flying across the sky, Throwing shadows on our eyes. Leave us Helpless, helpless, helpless.

Beautiful song... "Who doesn't remember the past, is condemned to repeat it." (George Santayana) There is a town in north Ontario, With dream comfort memory to spare, And in my mind I still need a place to go, All my changes were there. Blue, blue windows behind the stars, Yellow moon on the rise, Big birds flying across the sky, Throwing shadows on our eyes. Leave us Helpless, helpless, helpless

Me, too, for Montana.

Damn this song made me homesick for my hometown in North Ontario, Haileybury (now Temiskaming Shores), when I was a student at Carleton U in Ottawa in the early 70s.

Buffy RULES!

Darn good cover version of one of Neil Young's best songs! If I recall rightly, that's Crazy Horse backing her on this awesome performance! Buffy rules!

i know three versions of this song by neil young.
the first was neil's original.
the second is this, buffy's cover.
the third is called "knockin'" on heaven's door".
listen to buffy's arrangement of the song and there is no doubt that "knockin'" has ancestors.
it's so obvious.
thanks a lot for loading this up.
