Explanation of why tents are the point of contention for each Saturday's melee.

If tents were made legal the Saturday confrontations would stop. Each Saturday $350,000 would be saved.

  • Vi-Va La revolution

  • how about you idiots just LEAVE so they wont HAVE to put that money towards getting you to put the tents down, THEN they can put it towards housing the homeless for a year; not taking care of your mess.

  • PERFECT!! This video hits the nail on the head about this important topic. VERY well done!

  • You guys are thinking small. I am going to erect a protest cabin at Washington Park! Then A first amendment homestead in Congress Park. Take that one percent!

  • I LIVE HERE!!!!

  • @novenator well apparently the courts disagree with you... They have protected the rights of cities to enforce their own rules as to what time a park is open/closed and whether people and camp or not camp in a public park or plaza.

  • Some nice commentary, but as usual, the voices of women are missing. Feels just like the Saturday rallies and marches in that sense. Again, nice job, but we can do better.

  • i say if they wont give you permits for tents than go tribal request a permit to burn a massive bonfire and claim the fire has a significant spiritual value, this is a peoples movement get the drums get massive shamanic dances going rile the people up get everybodys blood pumping get the camp alive and warm through the fires of battle in the heart

  • It is important to realize that setting up tents IS a form of protest protected by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. It is called Expressive Conduct, which is speaking through actions. The fact the DPD are wasting a million dollars in taxpayer money to deny these patriots their freedom is horrendous!

  • a real eye opener, thanks for this video.

    Peace
