title was slightly misleading. I thought it was a biathlon on the soap "the Bold and the Beautiful"! Though that would be interesting if the cast of that soap DID do a biathlon.....

I know the Canadian team personally and they came up with the idea themselves. It wasn't to degrade women at all. It was about showing how all body types are beautiful. There was nothing insulting or degrading at all.

This is the only way to pay for training in this country to be part of an elite sport other than hockey. Hockey is the fat cat sport and money gets poured into it. Other have to sell nude calendar to make ends meet. The Downhill ski team had to do the same a couple years ago.
It is a shame indeed. Let's hope that the recent olympics successes will improve things so sports other than hockey can benefit...

To our Canadian Government, I can't believe that our Canadian National Women Biathlon Olympian Team, who represents our Country, had to pose nude to raise money for the lack of funding. This is an insult to all Canadians at the highest level. There is no excuse! What the hell is the Lottery used for?To buy Havana cigars, prostitutes, fancy homes and support your retirement. I am pissed, embarrass and discussed!!
