  • wow, how much did that cost? I like the set up. Thats what I would like to do to mine.

  • There was alot in this set-up. It's a 2004 Cobra Block, Cobra crank, Manley pistons and rods, ARP head studs, ported stock 96 NPI 2V heads, oversize valves, bronze guides, Crower cams and valve springs, and port matched intake spacers using the 99+ PI stock intake.

The supercharger is a Vortech V-1 S Trim with a 2.8" pulley. Snow methanol injection kit with dual injection set-up.

I'll link another video soon of the new set-up with the Novi 2K, Bullitt intake and 1000hp fuel system.

  • i have a 96 too.. what is the cheapest way of getting it supercharged... my cousins can do the labor... how much was everything you did??

  • it was pieced together over some time, with lots of little parts here and there, so it's hard to say. I can say that we have some smoking deals on blowers, and it'd be considerably less than what we expensed on that run.

  • im getting a 96 gt. when the time comes should i go turbo or supercharged?

  • Lots of it depends on what your ultimate goal is for the car, and the power levels you want to put down. For most stock motors, 425rwhp is about as far as you'd like to reliably push one, and both a supercharger and turbo can take it to that level with ease.

We're out in California and have to deal with some pretty tight smog restrictions, so turbo is tough to do, but if you can do it where you live, the price fits your budget, why not? Although, superchargers are truly an easy bolt on.

  • We own a Mustang performance shop in San Diego, so we were able to get everything together pretty quick.

A few fixes I see to some above posts from us, as I'm Emerson so I know the setup. My partner wrote the others.

I ran a 60ml nozzle in the power pipe just before the blower and a 625ml nozzle after the blower with the IAT at the end of the discharge tube right before the TB. The 2.8 RR pulley with stock crank pulley made ~15psi and 515rwhp.

  • how much hp can you get with out the methanol kit. i have a 96 and i want to buy the mmr 600 short block. i was thinkin about throwing a kb on it.

  • How much boost are you pushing to get 515whp, and which level Crower cams are you using?

    Just curious :)

  • is that a cobra or a GT

  • does it have its factory original 4.6l engine

  • thanks for the reply, did you find the idler pulley and small idler bracket from any particular place? i'm also in the process of installing a v1 strim on my 96, but it came off a 98 cobra. I have the bracket and all the piping for my car, now its just the small stuff.
