In this video, I discuss three different models, the Sony MDR 7506, Audio Technica ATH-M50, and Monster Beats. Each has its own use, but my go to preference are the Audio Technica phones. @ibignose Thanks man, I actually just got mine today. I got the M50s version so the cables longer but it's good for me coz I like to move around alot haha

@WavebiteDubstep The cable is the only difference between the two. The RRP for the straight is the same as the coiled so the reason for the price difference is probably just dependant on the person thats selling it.

You'd probably want to get the coiled cable anyway because the straight one is REALLY long, but its really up to personal preference.

Ok so i'm going to buy the audio technica ones just because I have heard so many bad reviews about Dre's Beats.

BUT

I was looking on ebay and there is one set of M50 with a (coiled cable) and another set (M50s) with a straight cable. I mean is there really much of a difference??

Because the price difference is $70+ for what SEEMS to be just the cable change??

Can anyone help me out plzzzzzz??

I've got the Sony MDR-V6 (same as MDR 7506's) and I find their sound quality to be brilliant for their price range. I must stress though that they can become quite uncomfortable after even 30mins of use. Otherwise, they are an outstanding pair of headphones, but if it's real clarity and realism you're looking for then you'll need to get yourself some open headphones, eg. Sennheiser HD 595
