Falling at the end of civilization, a lost memory, and a gentle melody.
"EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY - BECAUSE I AM AT YOUR SIDE."

"ICQCQ" is almost certainly meant to mean "I seek you, seek you." Not the messaging program.

The PV was made by Garakuta Soudanshitsu (Garbage Discourse Room), which is a group apparently formed just to make this PV. Uh... geez. Its members are: sasakure.UK, Azarashi (character design, continuity, animation), Gorilla-chan (backgrounds, animation, coloring), and Porori.

"Heap Princess" having the same initials as "*Hello, Planet." is totally unintentional, I swear.

The binary bleeps are morse code. The first two spell "IKQ" and "IXQ." You're getting there! (I don't think the binary itself means anything.) The last one seems to be "LKQING." Yeah, who knows.

"Man and machine" ("hito to kijin") wasn't 100% clear - the latter can literally be "fierce deity" or "strange person," but it's pretty obvious it refers to robots (probably short for "kikai-jin," mechanical man). But I figured making up some word like "mechaman" would've been too weird.

So does this mean Sasakure has established ANOTHER post-apocolyptic scenario? Yes. Yes, it probably does.

And in case you weren't convinced, Sasakure has referred to the robot as Apostrophe on Twitter, so that is his name. But really, what else would the title mean?

    Apostrophe -

    1. (orthography) The text character ’, that serves as a punctuation mark in various languages and as a diacrictical mark in certain contexts.

    2. (rhetoric) A sudden piece of dialogue addressed to someone or something, especially absent.

Note that those two meanings were taken from two different greek words that became the same word in english. One root meant "abscence of elision" and the other meant "I turn away", respectively. Gives new light to the song, huh?

  • @DragonPengy I think so too.

  • I think LKQING might actually mean "looking".

  • Tears! Too many tears!!! AGAHH!!! I can't stop crying!!!! T-T That just totally crushed my heart! I was enjoying it until the little girls head was split open! >.<

  • During my English class one day, I learned that an apostrophe is a sudden piece of dialogue that is addressed to someone who's not really there...
