  • This electric motor is also similar to the Ritchie's Motor (William Ritchie1830,s), William Sturgeon´s Mercury Interrupter (1830,s) and Page's Rotating Motor (Charles Page 1840). You all can see in those times (1830,s) this kind of first experimental electric motors were so popular.

  • All parts in this electric motor are parts from junkyard. Wood is from rests from a wood carpentry. Isolated cupper wires are from an old broken transformer, I found solenoid of rotor and don´t know from what device is it. And armature is maden with normal iron wires. I have spent very few money to build it.

  • I must say, for what I have seen in both original motors, that they didn´t turn completely, only a half of turn is possible, because they didn´t know how to make a collector conmutator, and they built collectors of mercury without conmutation. But taking the idea of both technicians for first electric motor, I added the collector conmutator to make it round fully.

  • Absolutely Beautiful work!!!

Thank you for building and posting such a Icon of the Electric Motors,(One of the very first Electric Motors).

    BRAVO!!!

  • The design of this eletric motor is completely mine, but is based in both electric motors from Jedlik and Nobili. Both electric motors are so similar in design but different. Then I designed something between both motors.
