Flying the Double Horse 9100 helicopter behind the local primary school early this morning. Still air and no audience to put me off. Despite a few minor handling quirks this bird is really nice to fly. This clip is long enough to show a few closeups in flight plus a burst of speed or two. Considering the 650mAh battery I'm consistently getting 8 to 9 minutes of flight time. Considering I've had over 20 flights with this chopper so far there have been no crash landings, for me that's amazing.
I'm having trouble with the onboard camera corrupting files so no aerial video yet.

  • Can you explain the mods to your swashplate? Is it the unbuckle twist a half dozen times counter-clockwise and then rebuckle that bar method?

  • @mrrobvs adjusting the linkage from the servo does nothing that tweaking the trim on the controller doesn't. If you look closely you'll see that the swashplate pivots forward of the shaft when it should be inline with the shaft. My modification moves the pivot point inline to the shaft. This allows maximum swash control to the rotors.

  • how can i get more forward travel? i seem to get more reverse than forward. plz help

  • @krazypyroboi05 you can see that modified swashplate in action here: youtube.com/watch?v=9IB03LoZnhk Compare it to the swashplate in your 9100

  • This video was taken on February 13 but uploaded on the February 12

  • @foxsnowman07 yeah. I also installed a chronological deconfabulator to the servo flivvet.

  • @luminouspc drifting to the left at takeoff is normal for this type of heli. It's caused by the thrust from the tail rotor. Don't sit on the ground and take off slowly, just jump into the air quickly where the drifting won't be so much of a problem.

  • @olsmokey Adding over an ONCE to your heli? That's not a solution! That's a "fuel" problem!!!

IE - It's not going to stay in the air very long if it's carrying a lot more than it needs to!

  • lol how olds ur camera? Nice vid though. Im thinking about getting one of these just because it seems to go pretty fast. I fly co-axle helies but they are somewhat slow. How fast does it go stock?

  • How do you get yours to hover so nicely? I cant seem to get it to hover. I got the forward and back down, but when I get it up or when it gets "light" it starts to tilt sideways and drift off. Help?

  • @hollymint7895 Same problem but with another rc heli gt 5889...

  • Mrp123. I agree with u. Really disappointed I was about 5 mins thru my first flight an no stacks when son took over and got it stuck in the tree. Burnt out the motor now I'm looking at buying another one. Bugger
