William Harris was believed to have been born in Glendora, Mississippi. He laid down sixteen sides in 1927-28 with fourteen being issued. He's best renowned for his song "Bullfrog Blues" that's been covered by Canned Heat, John Hammond, Jr. and many others. He is not to be confused with Willie Harris who recorded for Brunswick in 1929-30, or the gospel singer Blind Willie Harris who made one record for Vocalion in 1929.
