Strike the Gold got the pace he needed but gave away still too much early and could only get up for 4th. A great late-charger.

Eddie Delahoussaye, one of my favorite jockeys, perhaps number 1. He used the whip reluctantly and always to the minimum necessary; here I don't believe he touched A.P. Indy with it once.

the breeders cup will never never b e the same as long as there are STINKING POLY TRACKS...that isnot racing i'm sorry..it's rubber...horses who do well on grass shouldn't be as good if not better...on poly
