  • There is an error concerning the amount of innoculum injected into the mice... the announced amount is "300 cubic centimeters" and that amount should be microliters.

300 CC is close to the body mass of the mice shown.

A CASE OF HUMAN TO HUMAN TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPORTED BRO

  • This is just a theory but for what it's worth: Biologists that work with communicable diseases think that the reason that humans more often succumb to "dumb" rabies is simply because there is so much more going on in our brains. We don't merely use our brains for survival, we also process emotions with them, reason, rationalize, imagine, etc. Animals don't use their brains for such complex functions so there are less signals to get mixed up allowing the virus to still send the message to bite.

  • why wont it allow a human to attack other humans to spread the virus?..i dont mean that to happen..just a mystery thats all...i dont want that to happen just curious on y wont it...since rabies is like going crazy or berserk..y wont it work on humans..

  • thanks 4 the lesson.but i dont get is.if the virus allows animals to atatck others animals n humans.y wont the virus allows a human to attack other humans so it can spread.since it does go to the brain n sent out signals.y wont it sent out a signal to attack other humans just so it can spread the virus.rather then just kill its host later days or weeks.i just dont get that part.i know a few about rabies.but that question of mine keeps me thinkin alot about rabies.
