the ammo problem was an issue 4 me when i 1st did the bb rank and its easier if u play it through lilke 4 times and buy as much tranq ammo at the end of the 4th playthrough and then start over on that saved data so wen u meet up with otacon u will have a shit-ton of ammo

no becaussse a gekko is an unmanned machine so ur just killing a robot also u can blow up barrels if they are next 2 people because it wont count as you killing them it will count as the barrel killing them this comes in handy during the bike chase in act 3 hope this helps

No, I recently got the big boss badge, and well, I killed as many as a hundred gekko! They count as unmanned.
