My band does this song. It always gets a great cheer from the audience. If I don't tell them that it is a Cars song, they think that I wrote it. That shows you just how little airplay this song got in 87. By far, this is my favorite album by the Cars, and Ben Orr. Very dark lyrics and some chunky rock. Masterpiece!

@girlmusic2remember Figure out how to post that, ive never seen the snl performance.

I've always LOVED this song!! It's ignored by many, but it's one of the best, to me. 1987 rocked. ;)

@TheMajorHawke I know all of those songs, but I don't find them as hard as Double Trouble, Strap Me In or Door to Door. And they are "still" a rock band. Check out their 2011 album Move Like This.

@jorsak Nice. My favorite song off of Shake It Up is Victim of Love. I started to like them about a year and a half ago, and i was really surprised when they reunited. I bought the new album and I liked it. It has a cool cover. lol

@ricocasekfan Yeah... I've grown up with them. I remember buying Panorama when I was a little kid because it had a cool cover. LOL. I actually didn't like the album and I took it back went and bought another album that had a cool cover "Asia" which I loved. lol.
But then I found Shake it Up and that was it. I was a HUGE Cars fan from then on and I went back years later and loved all their stuff.
Ben sang the lead. I have this taped off an old SNL show. Looked beautiful as ever, and they were amazing. RIP Benhamin Orr.

Been looking for this song a long time. i heard it on SNL from 1987 when Cars were musical guest and Dadney Coleman was host. They also did Strap Me In. Door-To-Door was such a great album, i dont understand why it didnt do as well as their others and why these songs aren't as big as You Might Think or Magic.
