Torn meniscus injuries repair very well with Prolotherapy, as an alternative to surgery. Ross Hauser, MD is the Medical Director of Caring Medical & Rehabilitation Services. Dr. Hauser is a Prolotherapy doctor who treats athletes and chronic pain patients from around the world, specializing in difficult chronic pain and sports injury cases. In this video, he discusses his experience treating meniscus tear injuries and using Prolotherapy treatment for meniscus rehab. The knee is the number one area treated at Caring Medical, and many of those are patients suffering from continued pain after they have undergone surgery for a torn meniscus, as well as those wanting to avoid meniscectomy in the first place. Dr. Hauser's Prolotherapy technique provides an alternative to knee surgery, as well as a way to alleviate chronic pain resulting after these surgeries. • @MiguelTugask8 Yes it responds well in the cases we've seen. In our opinion, we feel very strongly, based on extensive research on the long term effects of removing the meniscus, that a person should seek a prolotherapy evaluation first.

  • can proloterapy heal a torn meniscus, before menistectomy ?

  • @TitoYuca Thanks for the question. Yes, we have successfully treated many patients with pain after a partial meniscectomy. Prolotherapy is regenerative medicine and can help the rest of the knee to stabilize and compensate for lack of meniscus. The more meniscus that is removed, the higher risk of early arthritis, and the more a person needs a Prolo evaluation in our opinion. : ) Wish you the best. Feel free to email us directly to discuss your case further.

  • i had about 30% of my meniscus removed in 2005, but still feel a lot of pain and swelling after walking for a long time, and running and jumping is almost impossible. will prolotherapy work for me even after having part of my meniscus removed?
