  • Please notice that there are no microphones in this. It is a private beithak at home, and I have personally experienced the sheers intensity and volume of B. Joshi's singing from 10 feet away...and nothing but great clarity and power in his voice. Notice most of the taans are all in 3 octave range and also lasting as long as 16 seconds with amazing rhythmic patterns therein. Long live Pandit Bhimsen Joshi....inspiring!

  • It is a shame that there are hundreds of comments praising some cheap sa re ga ma singers and something like this gets no attention.

  • Sooooooooper!!!!!!

  • He was a real jem..!!!!!

  • @chitrakuut This piece was written by Niyamat Khan ( pen name- 'sadarang'), a court poet of the Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah 'Rangila'. This piece was written with Muhammad Shah Rangila in mind. It harks back to the rich, vibrant musical tradition that combined the best of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. The language used for the rendition is Braj-Bhasha and the imagery is typical of its period. Panditji has sung this piece marvelously and it remains my all-time favorite!

  • Superhuman divine singing million thanks to soundshare for uploading this rare jem of Panditji most Passinate singing shkes to core.
