The Protomen present: A Night of Queen - "Bohemian Rhapsody" at Exit/In, 6/22/2012

In honor of its official release on CD and as a download, Middle Tennessee's own Protomaniacs relive their spectacular set of Queen covers!

Good question - how else could you end a Queen show? The group pulled out all of the stops for the grand finale, including a little help from Tenacious D!

How long before these guys, and gal, are in a major motion picture? What would happen if Jack Black and Jack White shook hands? Carry on, carry on - those questions will have to wait a day or two while they patch up the roof.

The bill also featured sets by The Remones and The Non-Commissioned Officers covering The Stooges.

First shoot with a new Canon 60D! Brought the Canon fixed 50mm-f/1.4 lens, needed a wider angle. Audio from Zoom H1. There is audible distortion, but it's analog; all of my peaks were well below 0 dBFS, and the PA wasn't blowing out. The power and fury was just too much for the capsules in the little mics on the Zoom. Makes sense because I forgot my muffs and couldn't hear til about noon on Saturday!
