I, Steve Parker, Jr., am making a promise to deliver every single American a valuable proposition that will do two things: 1) help you and/or someone close to you by the end of this video with some level of healthcare support and 2) personally provide $500 in medical payments to 10 individuals or families in great need.

I am very passionate about healthcare. I knew when I was 17 years old I wanted to work in healthcare and/or be involved in the industry in some way. From there I received a degree in healthcare administration, worked for two of the largest healthcare providers in the world. Helped launch 3 successful healthcare information start-ups, was voted one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in Life Sciences by PharmaVOICE Magazine and awarded the Medscape Entrepreneurial Award for innovation. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation and fund two specific eHealth companies that provide a great service to those in need. Those services provide for the education, awareness, benefit and support of people that suffer from cancer, diabetes and obesity.

Watch this video to hear more about what I have to say about the solutions to health reform that have been presented lately and about my promise to Americans.

  • Tell you what guys. If you don't agree with me fine - I have no issue with that. But either way stop talking and actually do something. $500 doesn't do squat? Really, well that's more than you are providing with your lack of substantial argument and tell that to the families that will be helped. You talk - I do - that's the biggest difference here. You just keep talking and I'll make a difference in someone's life. Hopefully many...

  • ...by not allowing our government to pass a plan that is not formulated with some basic principals that none of you can honestly disagree with. Do you honestly believe there should not be accountability on all sides? Do you honestly believe that more competition and choice in the market would not provide more value and better outcomes? You have seen the govt (dems and reps) pass unfounded plans time and time again.

  • Those of you with nasty comments are beyond dense. You haven't viewed the video in full, you continue to say I worked for the insurance industry which is untrue (even though all you have to do is do a Google search to know better). America's Health Netowrk was a Cable health network (like CNN but health news), not an isurance company. Get beyond yourselves and do proper research - then comment.

  • Lehula - my friend I'm not out of touch and if you would have taken the time the view the video you would have realized that. You lack of preperation and focus makes you the one out of touch. It's sad when people like you speak before educating youself properly. You point fingers at me yet you have not done the basic research to know who I am AND the funny thing is I put it all front and center for you. Some people are just impossible.

  • Jewy - you just clarified your own ignorance. I do not work for the insurance industry, and the $500 for 10 people is out of my own "personal" pocket. At least I'm doing something - you are just full of complaints and clearly did not watch the full video. It's clear in your response.

  • What do you expect him to do.

    Punch his way through arguments.

Dialog is very important to change.

    In whatever Ideas you support.

Plus smart did he not say hes making websites? and is he not posting these videos to bring the topic to the table?

    and whatever else hes doing?

and providing money for the people he presented in this video...

That sounds like action to me!

  • i totally agree w/ u

  • $500 doesn't do squat for people that are really in need.

Even if you have insurance $500 is barely a co-pay for a broken limb.

This looks more like a $5000 (10x$500) attempt at SELF PROMOTION more than anything else...

  • Your analogy to corrupt cops doesn't make any sense.

Cops provide a needed service. Insurance companies do not.

By your own admition you reject insurance as well as their business model. So why defend the system at all?

  • Just a bunch of talk like our president lol

  • this man makes quite a bit of sense.

  • Isn't "public" a euphamism for government run? And "government run" simply means "funded by taxpayers, but controlled by out-of-touch-with-reality Washington insiders." When you think of "efficient, cutting-edge and customer-friendly" do you really think of the US Government or any entity run by the US Government?

  • u know it's pretty sad that it's not really America anymore not when people overseas own half of the companies over hear or they send there companies over to other countries just to save a few cents mean while they sit and get richer were the person that got laid of from that job sits home worrying about how he'e gona feed his family
