sounds like a law suite just waiting to happen. Air port can't even hold that type of data on a person, thats why they setup their own face systems.

Much mirth at the section quoting the ICO. Of course there's nothing fundamentally illegal with the system is used correctly, but many clubs do not. Doormen taking ID cards from customers and scanning them without seeking consent or explaining what they're doing, clubs harvesting the data for marketing, no privacy policies in place, and some don't even register with the ICO (a fundamental requirement). With ID fraud so high, I simply cannot trust nightclubs with personal data like this.
