The tones were long because when the SAME header was made(the buzzing in the beginning), the broadcaster put codes for every single county in your state for the locations covered, instead of the whole state code. Assuming this is a test

Yeah, I noticed that too. I also think it's weird they made the EAS scroll bar SO light green!

@lightningbolt9999 It's because there are so many counties included in the test. Those tones are actually streams of encoded data that tell EAS Decoders what kind of alert is being sent, who it applies to, etc.
