if a foreign celebrity is being interviewed in the UK or the US, we expect them to speak in English. so why shouldn't Mick speak in French while being interviewed for French TV? he is being polite, and whether he speaks it well or not, at least he attempts it. and i'm sure the French people appreciate the effort. good for you Mick. even though i can't understand a word of French meself!

I actually appreciate it that Jagger speaks French and in fact it's logical and polite, considering he has lived in France, a big part of his life.
Yes, English is a world language, but still a second language for most people and especially in countries like France they take pride in using their own language.
