Scott Ouellette appeared a little taken aback in the glare of the media spotlight Wednesday at the opening of the STARS Lottery grand prize home in Sylvan Lake.
But he persevered in telling his near-death tale underneath a STARS-emblazoned ball cap.
Ouellette was playing ball hockey in Red Deer on April 23, 2008, when he noticed he was unusually unable to catch his breath.
He went home after the game and spent four hours suffering despite the protests of his girlfriend before he finally wised up and went to the hospital. Despite being only 28 years old, Ouellette was told he was having a massive heart attack.

if this is sylvan lake, michigan, it's a pretty scummy lake, toxic waste and all. kids would park cars on the frozen lake and make bets for the day it sank.
