Another thing,the fact that Self lead Kansas to the championship in a season where their were four No. 1 seeds makes it that much sweeter.

The best coach in the country indeed! Do you realize that Bill Self has a higher winning % at KU then any coach at KU history. Yes, higher then Larry, Roy, and Phog!
Five years later, Bill Self is on top of the world as a National Champ and Kansas is STILL the BEST place in the country to play basketball!

Bill Self is the best coach in college basketball. Such a great guy and is an extremely intelligent coach. Everybody counted Kansas out the year after they won the title, but they nearly beat michigan state who ended up 2nd in the country after losing all their starters! kansas is awesome!
