Im getting the idea that a controversial move is one that is objectively unsound but nevertheless poses difficulties to the opponent over-the-board. Other thesaurus entries might be: double-edged, Tal-like, and the good old annotation mark ?! Interesting concept. Perhaps Edward Winter can guide us.

Nice game KC!
It makes me wonder. I spotted all the moves you asked about. I find the combinations quite easy, even in OTB. My problem is this: All the other moves - your plans, pawn-movements, positional thought - all that... I can't find it with anything near the accuracy of a good club-player like you. I guess one can say that I play the tactics well, but haven't got a feel for the strategic element. How to improve this? Less blitz, more long games? What to do? Plz give some advice! Thanks!!
