what is the procedure?
-
it's a very cool experiment.
but DON'T ever drink a solution that contains KOH! It would cause serious damage to your body, cause it's caustic!
-
right on
its called fume hood by the way
-
As can be noted from the OH part, this is a strong base, drinking it could be the death of you.
You shouldn't even handle it outside of a special vented laboratory chamber (acid cabinet we call it here, not sure what the proper English term is).

i dont know if the KOH is safe to drink, but everything else is. also, i should add that it took some experimentation to get the right ratio of indicators, so that one does not overpower the other one at certain pH's.

youtube wouldnt let me put this in the description for some reason, so i will just put it here: this is what I used:
8 grams KOH
10 grams dextrose
15 drops indigo carmine
8 drops methylene blue
all into 500 ml H2O
After shaking, colors go from blue -> green -> yellow -> red.
