The Purusha Suktam in praise of Lord Vishnu or Narayana is one of the Pancha Sooktams of the Vedic tradition. Purusha suktam is an hymn from the tenth part (mandala) of the Rigveda, dedicated to Purusha, the "cosmic man". Purusha sukta is found in all the four Vedas.

  • Brahman is without change. Jeeva is the marginal potency of God (Para-Brahman). The material universe is real. It is created and destroyed. the spiritual universe is indestructible.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx let all religions live in peace. There is no reason to insult many on the actions of a few. I am a Hindu and believe our deities and spiritual principles would not support such insults to any faith, any human, or any object. Do not desecrate a faith.

  • contd.... in total there was no any cast or religion in our country. in fact what we call hindu religion or hinduism is a wrong concept. ours is "Sanatana Dharma"

  • contd.. all the 4 varnas has been collided with GOD and made it clear that GOD is incomplete without any of the Varnas. brahmana is not by birth instead by his karma(Work). he can not be selfish or self centered. total betterment of the society was his responsibility. like this all the members of 4 varna or group of people had got their own responsibilities to perform. later on as population increased they spread over but they continued the same work what they were doing.contd....

  • @Ooga001 I think you are right. but if discussion started on this it is never ending. think from other end. man created chaturvarna to maintain solidarity, peacefulness, safety etc. planning, management, research etc was responsibilty of one group called brahmana, safety was the responsibilty of other group called kshatriya, fulfilling food, cloth etc was the responsibility of vysya and remaining other work allotted to shudra.by this any member of any varna should not get hurt, contd...

  • Can you please tell me which album this is from and who the singers are? Thanks.

  • Three of the four principal opulence of the Lord consists of "ashok, abhay and amrta". (tripad-vibhuti) : Lack of sorrow (eternal bliss), lack of fear (always secure) and lack of death (immortal).

One fourth of the opulence is "ananta".

Since only one of the four opulence of the Lord is manifested in this material universe (only "ananta"), so it is called Ek Pad Vibhuti.

The spiritual universe is complete in all respects.

  • @rajeshvrajan absolutely right. Why are god's feet inferior??anyone please tell me.We all pray to God's feet so why are lord's feet inferior??

  • I see a few kids in my school do things unacceptable to hindus and the only thing I can do I pray for them. I listen continuously to the vedas and have a sanskrit book, but I cannot understand Sanskrit that well as I only self-studied for the past three years. Can someone pass me something where I can learn the vedas in english. But, I don't need a translation. Specifically I am looking for the sama and rig veda. On top of that, I need the sama more, because I actually read it. Thank you all Om.

  • @kalikaputra

you do realise this is nothing to do with Islam? and saying that any religion is 'better' than another, just shows ur sheer lack of real knowledge into who and what god is....
