Derian Hatcher Tribute Video

Recently this week, Long time NHL player Derian Hatcher Announced his retirement from playing hockey. He played for the North Stars/Stars organization, The Detroit Red wings, and The Philadelphia Flyers. Though Hatcher was not known for scoring, he was known for hits, fights, and assists. He was one of the biggest baddest players in the NHL. He is about 6' 5" and 200 + pounds. That used to be the typical hockey player..but times have changed. Derian will be missed by many. He won a Stanley Cup in Dallas in 1999 and is known as the only American Born captain to win the Stanley Cup.

Hatcher had a brilliant career and is now going to be working with the Flyers Organization, taking Eric Desjardins position. Congrats on a wonderful career!!

yea he had surgery a few weeks ago and his knee was reconstructed. he got hurt multiple times and he screwed his leg up in the 07-08 season..but he played in the 07-08 playoffs. he didn't play at all in the 08-09 season because of his leg

Derian was a fantastic Hockey player, but am i incorrect if i remember him as one of the slowest skaters of all NHL time? Skating is far from all.

@thaboysarebackintown No, no one did anything to Modano. Hatcher was just being an ass. I understand what it's like to have pride your team, but Derian Hatcher was not cool. I mean even in this video it shows him taking a shot at little Sydney Crosby. I mean... Crosby? Seriously?  That's just weak.

Plus, you see all these fights with him and people like Foot and Lindros and Hunter. You don't hear about him fighting anyone real, like Twist or Probert or Domi.
