Enchanted Pools-Gopro Hd hero- with Rc Helicopter t-rex 450

Hike in rc heli to some majestic water features in desolation wilderness by the rubicon trail and tahoe. Its actually closer to wrights lake if you know where that is. heli is T-rex 450 with tt and go pro hd camera set at 1080p but rendered to 720p. spot in video where I fly into water with no flotation device. all footage done with about $500 dollors worth of equipment. which isnt much compared to people with 10000 plus invested.

Can you make a video of what helicopter you use?

I will see if I get get to it. I use a t-rex 450 v2 version. I then put camera on bottom of heli with mount I made. I have seen some people put it on the battery tray in the front too.

You can buy the heli almost everywhere. I recommend the align heli's because parts are all ways available and they are so easy to work on. Every part they make fits really well. The other alternative is a quadcopter which doesnt require any experiance to fly and are pretty stable platforms for camera. But you can't do 3d flying or aerobatics withe those so they can get boring fast. :(

What you´ve shown here is exactly what I want to do when I get some more practice in. Very beautiful video. I have a gopro myself but I get the fisheye type of image from it. Did you modify or change your lens? How do you have it mounted to your T-rex? One last quetion did you use some type of FPV system to know exactly where to fly the heli to frame those shots?

No fpv just straped camera to skids with a sleigh mount. The camera has fisheye but is filming at setting 5 on camera which is 1080p 30frames. Im just flying perspectivly. I tell my fpv buddies that fpv is cheating :)
