i was crying because i didn't know if i should be happy or sad for him. yeah he makes jokes about other people, but he lives his life to the fullest and loves it. i look up to him for that.
i love this guy so much.
talking to him in person and listening to him for two hours is the most inspiring thing that has happened in a while.
i can be disapointed because i don't enjoy other people poking fun at people with adversities. You'd think because he has a disability that he'd have some empathy for other people with problems. it does not make me retarted, by any means, to have an opinion and decent morals. you should really learn the meaning of the word before you use it again. i'd much rather be "retarted", used in the incorrect manner than an illiterate loser, thanks.
He did a speech at my school today. I was, I have to say, dissapointed. Sure, he has overcome adversity to a great degree, but his derrogatory comments about people with mental disabilities was out of line, particuarly his stories about his autistic son. I found it extreamly offensive, and was not impressed.
did you actually read what i had said? (not that you would probably be able to understand such difficult words- sorry about that.). Sure, he's inspiring but can't he be inspiring without making fun of other people, especially those that have disabilities?
Expression and communication? Putting people with disabilities down? Yeah, right. If that's the way he "expresses and communicates", fine, but in a situation when you're supposed to be "inspiring" school-aged children, it's completely inappropriate. Schools have enough problems with the equality of children, between those that do have disabilities and those that don't. We certainly don't need someone that is supposed to be inspirational coming in and encouraging it.
