The world is a wonderous and special place. In order to make it the very safest of places, too, there are a few saftey precautions children need to know.

In Too Smart for Strangers, Pooh and his pals teach children some very important lessons about how to deal with strangers. And help protect themselves from potential harm.

They learn:
Who's a stranger?
When to say no
What to do if they're home alone?
Why they should stick with their friends?
How to tell an okay touch from one that's not okay?
Where not to walk or play
and Who to ask for help?

The lessons are taught with music, songs, dancing, and fun. Plus real-life situations acted out buy children your kids can relate to. With an emphasiss on entertainment, so that children will pay attention and learn the vital messages that are being taught.

Because the more closely they watch, the more they'll learn. And become Too Smart for Strangers.

Funding for this program is made possible in part by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

  • I was shown this movie by teachers in 2nd grade. I thought every adult that looked at me wanted to rape me or cut me into itty bitty pieces and stuff me in their freezer, thanks Winnie The Pooh.

  • Because of Winnie the Pooh I was too smart to get raped! Good thing too because my mom found out that her brother (my uncle) was into kid rape... TOP COMMENT!

  • I saw this one time in elementary school!

  • Didn't Disney release this for video too?

  • @IAMNOTRUNFO

    That's a touching sentiment.

  • tigger always goes bouncing into strangers houses, thats how he met pooh, too.

  • I always thought it was strange that Tigger's best friend in Roo. I mean an adult Tigger is hanging out with a young kangaroo. Suspicious after watching this, right?

  • Anyone else love how bad the caption are? "some strange the baboons water hurricane andrew"

  • I know this is an old video but, when I have children I want to teach them about strangers in this way. I hope I can get a copy of this because stranger danger is taught in a way that shows children how serious the situation is in a way that isn't too scary. As for people who say they saw this and were frightened of strangers, well in a way it did do it's job didn't it? A healthy fear of strangers is a good thing even for adults!

  • omg! i showed this video to my daycare kids and I thought it was excellent! It seems that its only the parents who have been sexually molested as kids are the ones who talk to their kids about stranger danger. Parents who have grown up in a safe environment are very naive when it comes to this sort of thing.

  • lol thank you cinema snob for sending me here
