After a week of futzing, posturing and positioning, it's put-up or shut-up time for the main contenders. Garmin sets a fast pace into the climb, Saxo Bank takes over, and seconds later, the leaders are isolated.

Contador attacks while the Schlecks hang tough. Armstrong suffers, Sastre battles his way back on and Wiggins continues to impress.

I do speed things up or slow things down to fit the narration. I try to make it obvious, but I also doing want to overdo it.

And yeah, I do not like Contador's salute. It's too cute, too quick, too aggressive. A quick, easy and dumbed-down version of Flecha's archer salute.

They were going all out on the front and you know it. They did everything in their power to reel him in, effectively helping the other team's leaders. Lance fully deserved the humiliation in the end.

WTF? Was probably more like an angry scream than an annoyed question. Cantador, more or less, knew Lance was gonna pull some B.S.. That's why he had to run him into the ground and play keep away with the guy throughout the whole Tour.

This has got to be the worst commentary I´ve heard. The little editorials are as unwelcome as they are nasty are show the announcers clear prefferences and ill-informed opinions. I´ll stay clear of "how the race was won" from here on in.

Err, "Unbearably lame pistoL shot salute." Thank you, again. Fantastic. I'm surprised to see anyone defend it in the comments. If a 15 year old did it, I might think it was creative exuberance. But the best stage racer in the world?!? The sad thing is, I think he's locked into it. If he stopped doing it, he would be admitting it was stupid in the first place.
