did you have to get a special visor to work with the radio ant.?? I want a visor on my 50 special but I'm not sure about the radio antenia (spelling??)

I bought one on ebay and it works fine although you can not turn the antenia down anymore

Just like the one my dad used to have, except his didn't have a visor. I seem to remember hubcaps with trim rings on the red wheels. Great looking interior on yours! Looks to be very correct. Great job!

Beautiful car!! - I always loved Buicks from the 30's to the 50's. Even as a kid in the 60's I used to point them out to my father when we were driving together. Dad admired them also - but he loved Hudsons and we had two thru the 50's (a 51 Hornet sedan and a 49 Super 6 two door). By the early 60's (I was a very car conscious kid) I remember seeing a lot more Buicks from the 40's and 50's still in regular use than Hudsons.

Very Clean. The '50 is, to some, the most famous Buick of all because of the "waterfall" grille that flowed into the front bumper. Another styling feature of equal importance (IMO) was the re-introduction of the sculpted/contoured beltline that had been phased out on the '49 models. A more exaggerated example of this contour is seen on pre- and post- war Buicks. All that, along with the portholes, made it one of the most flamboyant American cars of the '50s...and it didn't even have tailfins!
